Hawaiian Pale Ale | 24 Days of Beer #21

Day 21 - Hawaiian Style Pale Ale - Spearhead

Full of Caribbean citrus, Hawaiian Style is a nice break from the winter!

Brewery: Spearhead Brewing
Style: Hawaiian Style Pale Ale
ABV: 6%        IBU: 60

This pale ale pours a golden yellow with a small white head that dissipates quickly. The nose is dominated by grapefruit and tropical citrus notes with some leafy hops present.

Mildly bitter with some tropical fruit notes, Hawaiian Pale Ale is a light, refreshing beer with a nice citrus hop bite. Medium carbonation and body round it out for an enjoyable drinking experience. A tasty beer from a great brewery, it deserves a chance if you see it around, and you will. Their other brews are a lot less easy to come by but just as deserving of a try, particularly the Indie White Ale (a surprisingly lovely wheat IPA) and Jamaican Fire, a spicy coffee stout.
