Brewery: Indie Alehouse
Style: English Mild
ABV: 3.8% IBU: 20-30
St. Crispin’s Mild pours a clear, dark mahogany. The thick, white head has good retention and leaves some nice lacing down the glass as you drink. A soft aroma of bready malt and bitter hops includes some hints of caramel, roasted grains, and a light spice.
This beer is incredibly well-balanced with a rich malty flavour and the perfect level of bitterness. Flavourful and easy-drinking, St. Crispin’s Mild is a great option if you want something light enough that you can drink it all afternoon and delicious enough that you won’t get bored. A touch of spice and nuts and a hint of roasted grains add a nice layer of complexity before a pleasantly dry, bitter finish. Medium bodied with good carbonation, it has a lasting malt aftertaste with some bitterness.
