ABV: 5.2%        IBU: 40

“Hey, Porter! Hey, Porter! Please get my bags for me…”

4 and a halfcat

This stout pours a thick deep brown-black colour with a thin covering of tan head. The bubbles have little retention and dissipate over a few minutes to a thin ring around the inside of the glass and some light coverage across the top.

Hey, Porter! features a wallop of malt aromas including chocolate, caramel, and biscuit. A touch of vanilla and cream lighten the heavy drink while a some licorice and candied fruit add some sweetness that helps to balance the strong malts and bitter, somewhat leafy hops. A strong nutty presence adds an additional richness to this dark brew.

Heavily dominated by rich chocolate, biscuit, and coffee malts, this porter has a touch of sweet fruit esters and enough hops to balance the intense malts. Some nutty almond flavours and a touch of spice round it out, providing a complex but inviting effect.

Hey, Porter! has a medium to thick body  with some creaminess and medium carbonation. Somewhat viscous, it sticks to the tongue and provides a lasting dark chocolate bitterness.
